Our take
A UK-built platform with a Dallas data centre, sold in the US at flat monthly prices ($1 for the first month, then $15/mo for the entry plan) with no contract, no inode limits, free unlimited migrations and a white-label reseller panel that costs nothing. The trade-offs: there is no annual discount so the entry price is 3–5× the budget hosts, and the terms allow a price rise on 14 days' notice despite the 'no contract' framing.

Pros
- $1 first month, then a flat monthly price — no multi-year prepay and no renewal cliff
- Free unlimited automated migrations, daily backups, CDN, WAF and SSL on every plan
- US (Dallas), UK (London) and Singapore data centres on 20i's own network; StackCP reseller panel with no licence fee
Cons
- Entry plan is $15/mo and there is no annual or multi-year discount
- Terms permit price increases on 14 days' notice and impose a 10%-of-server CPU cap that the 'no LVE limits' marketing does not mention

20i, beyond the scorecard

Plans, as published
20i's US storefront prices everything monthly, in dollars, with a $1 first month on the shared and reseller lines. Web Hosting and Managed WordPress use the same six-tier grid: Startup $15/mo (1 site, 10 GB SSD, 50 GB bandwidth, 10 mailboxes), Plan 1 $30 (1 site, 100 GB bandwidth), Plan 2 $60 (3 sites, 20 GB), Plan 3 $100 (10 sites, 40 GB), Plan 4 $200 (25 sites, 50 GB), Plan 5 $400 (50 sites, 100 GB, 1 TB). Every tier lists autoscaling, a high-availability platform, global CDN, free SSL, WAF and malware scanning, daily backups (7-day restore window on the shared FAQ; 30-day 'Timeline Backups' on the WordPress docs), free on-demand migrations, 'no inode limits' and 24/7 chat and ticket support. Laravel Hosting is the same grid again. No plan includes a domain.
Above shared: Managed Cloud Servers from Micro at $10.99/mo (1 core, 1 GB, 25 GB, 1 TB) to 32X Large at $1,759.99 (48 cores, 128 GB), with dedicated resources, unlimited sites and mailboxes, and a choice of 20i's own cloud, AWS or GCP; bandwidth over the allowance is $0.02/GB. Unmanaged VPS with root access runs $13.99/mo (1 core, 1 GB) to $527.99 (12 cores, 64 GB) in London, Dallas or Singapore, with backups a paid add-on from $3.75/mo. Reseller Hosting is 20i's heritage product: Reseller 25 (US only, $19.99, 25 accounts, 30 GB), Reseller 50 ($39.99, unlimited storage), Reseller 500 ($69.99) and Reseller Unlimited ($99.99), all with the white-label StackCP panel at no licence fee, WHMCS and HostShop integration, private nameservers and a domain discount of up to 30% that 20i says includes renewals.
The renewal math
Because 20i bills month-to-month, the 'Then only $X/mo' figure on each card is the price you keep paying; there is no intro-versus-renewal gap of the Hostinger or SiteGround kind. That is the honest reading and we list Startup as $15 renewing at $15. Two qualifications. Terms §8.3: 'Prices are liable to change at any time. We will notify you of a change in our prices at least 14 days before the price increase comes into force. If you do not cancel you will be deemed to have accepted the new prices.' And the older 'no price increases on renewal' promise now survives only on the domain-pricing page ('all of our renewal prices match our registration price'), not for hosting.
There is no annual or multi-year discount on any plan page, which cuts both ways: nothing to lose at renewal, but also nothing to gain by prepaying, and the $15 entry point is three to five times the 36-month rates of the budget hosts. 20i's answer is the platform (autoscaling, CDN, no inode caps) rather than the price. The cart could not be checked without creating an account — my.20i.com/signup shows no prices before login — so the renewal wording inside the billing panel is unverified.
Renewal figures come from our Hosting Renewal Price Index — intro vs renewal pricing for every provider we cover, verified on vendor sites and dated.
Choose 20i if
- Agencies and resellers who want a white-label panel, bulk migrations and a US data centre without per-account cPanel licences
- Sites that outgrow inode-capped shared plans but do not want to manage a VPS
- Buyers who prefer a flat monthly bill with no contract over a multi-year prepay
Look elsewhere if
- Price-first single-site buyers — $15/mo with no term discount is not the cheap seat
- Anyone who needs technical phone support — 20i is ticket and live chat only, and says so in its terms
- CPU-heavy applications on shared plans — the terms cap you at 10% of the server despite the 'no LVE limits' copy
Migration notes
Inbound: free, unlimited and self-service from cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin, WordPress, Heart Internet and Fasthosts through the Migration Centre, moving files, databases and mailboxes (not domain names or MS SQL; FTP-based WordPress moves skip mailboxes). 20i says sites stay up throughout. Outbound is not addressed anywhere on the site; you get control-panel backup tools but 'will not be given access to the server back-up we maintain'. Cancellation is by support ticket or live chat only, must be re-confirmed when 20i replies or it is 'ineffective', and cannot be done by letter, email or phone; no refund for a cancellation part-way through a billing period.
Honest limitations
Terms §7 gives a 30-day 'limited money back guarantee' on a hosting service — one per customer, excluding domains, private SSL, add-ons and VPS — but only the reseller pages advertise it. The shared-hosting SLA is a disclaimer ('we do not warrant access... will be uninterrupted'); the only formal SLA is for VPS (99.99% network, 12 hours' credit per hour down, capped at 50%), while the Managed Cloud Servers page advertises '99.99% uptime backed by an SLA' with no such document published. The acceptable-use policy caps MySQL databases at 1,024 MB while plan pages advertise 5 to 250 GB of MySQL storage; the terms say exceeding bandwidth suspends the service while the WordPress page sells overage at $0.05/GB. Email sending is 8,000 messages per mailbox per day (500 via PHP), and mailboxes untouched for 100 days are deleted. The '25 years ago we created the industry's first reseller hosting package' claim refers to the founders' earlier, unnamed companies; 20i Limited itself launched in 2016 and is registered in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. The 19-city map on the plan pages is mostly CDN edges; hosting lives in Dallas, London and Singapore. A few GBP strings remain on the USD pages.
Testing status: we haven't load-tested 20i ourselves yet. This profile is built from vendor documentation, published plan specs and SLAs, and long-running community reports — and the pricing above is verified on the vendor's site, not copied from marketing. See how we test for exactly what that means.
