Who runs this site
Digital Hosting is owned and operated by TetraCore, a small software company in Bowling Green, Ohio. We are a review and comparison publisher — we are not a hosting company, and we have no relationship to the similarly-named hosting providers ("Digital Host", "digitalhost.net", etc.) that operate elsewhere. Content is researched, written, and maintained by the Digital Hosting editorial team, edited by W. Miller (below). We deliberately don't publish invented author personas; as contributors join the byline roster, their real names and backgrounds appear here.
What we cover
Web hosting, VPS, managed WordPress, dedicated servers, business email hosting, and domain registrars — 37 provider profiles in all, including the independent providers (MXroute, Migadu, Hetzner, Porkbun and peers) that mainstream review sites skip. Each category page lists picks with clear pros, cons, verified pricing, and what each provider is realistically best for.
How we make picks
- Renewal pricing weighed as heavily as intro pricing — every published price carries a verification date.
- Vendor documentation, SLAs, and independent community consensus over marketing claims.
- Refund policy, support quality, and clarity of billing.
- Whether the provider's stack matches the use case, not just the loudest marketing.
The full rubric, price-verification process, and an honest account of what "tested" does and doesn't mean here live on the how we test page.
How we make money
Many of our outbound links are affiliate links. When you sign up through them we may receive a commission, at no extra cost to you. Editorial decisions — who we recommend, and in what order — are independent of those commissions, and several of our top picks pay us nothing at all. Providers whose programs we haven't joined still get a working link to their public pricing page. See our affiliate disclosure for the full breakdown.
Corrections
Hosting prices and plans change constantly. If you spot a stale price or a claim that doesn't hold, tell us via the contact page — we fix errors and re-date the page.
