WHOIS privacy is included free via Domains By Proxy on eligible TLDs, and advertised prices exclude taxes and ICANN fees. Shared hosting runs Economy at $5.99/mo, Deluxe at $7.99/mo, and Ultimate at $12.99/mo — each price valid 'for the first 3-year term', so Economy is really $215.64 upfront. Email is resold Microsoft 365, with Email Essentials at $1.99 per mailbox/month for the first year against a $8.99 list price. ### The renewal math The .com renews at $22.99/yr, per GoDaddy's own page markup — more than double Porkbun ($11.08), Cloudflare ($10.46), or Spaceship ($9.98). Over five years, a GoDaddy .com costs about $91.97 against Spaceship's $48.80 for the identical domain. Hosting is the bigger disclosure gap: the sales page prints intro prices and struck-through list prices but no renewal rate at all — GoDaddy's own fine print says only that 'product renewal pricing \[is\] subject to change' and the number surfaces in the cart. None of it is hidden, but all of it is somebody's job to maximize.
