Managed WordPress (DreamPress) starts at $14.99/mo first-year, renewing at $19.99/mo. Uncommonly for this tier, DreamHost still offers true month-to-month billing without a punitive rate. One correction worth knowing: DreamHost was famous for a 97-day money-back window, but its current published Terms of Service (checked July 2026) specify a 30-day refund period for shared hosting on card/PayPal payments. Domains and add-ons are non-refundable. ### The renewal math The Launch plan renews at $10.99/mo after the $2.89 first year — about a 3.8× step, right in the middle of the shared-hosting pack per our July 2026 tracker. The month-to-month option softens the lock-in question: you can leave any month, which changes the renewal math from a cliff into a choice. Outbound: the custom panel exports files and databases cleanly, but as with Hostinger, there's no cPanel archive to hand to the next host — plan on a manual import. Email is an add-on product, so migrating mail means exporting mailboxes separately. ### Honest limitations Email costing extra on shared plans is the biggest practical gotcha at this price point — competitors bundle it. The custom panel is genuinely fine but unfamiliar, and support is chat/ticket-based (callbacks exist as a paid add-on).
